The Annual Smiley Cultural Fair will be held on May 15th 6:00 to 7:30 PM
On May 21st from 5-6pm in the LMC, Smiley is hosting an “Orientation to the Collaborative School Committee.” We will cover the roles and responsibilities of a school CSC, areas to address at the start of the 2012-2013 school year, and how to become a CSC member–including the nomination process.
We need parents and community partners to serve alongside our teachers and administrators on the 2012-2013 Smiley Collaborative School Committee (CSC). Meetings are held monthly for approximately 1 hour.
Each Denver Public School has a Collaborative School Committee (CSC) with representation from parents, community, faculty, administrators, and classified staff. The purpose and scope of the CSC is to enhance students achievement and school climate by engaging the school community in collaborative efforts supporting the school and District’s goals. The CSC provides strategic direction in support of the school’s mission and vision.
